Terms of Service
ScanFounder (“the App”) is operated by Real Othello Keyan Stalman. By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. The service
ScanFounder lets you scan a brand (product, logo, storefront, vehicle, signage, software UI) and receive an AI-generated brand card with founder background, business model, history, and statistics. Cards are generated using third-party language models and surfaced as study material — not as authoritative financial or legal information.
2. AI-generated content
Brand cards, daily briefings, and other AI-derived facts shown in the App are produced by an AI model and may contain errors or out-of-date information. Every screen carrying AI-generated content displays an “Researched by AI” banner with a path to report inaccuracies. Do not rely on the App as your sole source for investment, employment, or legal decisions.
3. Your account
- You must be 13 years or older to create an account.
- Keep your password secret. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or resell brand cards in bulk.
- Use the App to harass others, infringe intellectual property, or submit content that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the App or our backend, or probe our infrastructure for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure process.
5. Intellectual property
Brand names, logos, and other trademarks shown in the App belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only. The App's code, design, and copywriting are owned by Real Othello Keyan Stalman.
6. Subscriptions
ScanFounder is currently free and offers no paid plans, purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce them in a future version, billing will be handled by Apple via the App Store, terms will be shown before you buy, and this section will be updated first.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that risks harm to other users or to the service. You can terminate at any time by deleting your account.
8. Disclaimer + liability
The App is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Real Othello Keyan Stalman is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to losses caused by reliance on AI-generated facts. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protections.
9. Changes
If we materially change these Terms we'll update the effective date and notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, except where applicable consumer law gives you different rights.
